Jun Badminton Academy is proud to have a coaching team that blends deep experience with specialized skill—and Coach Tan Wei Hong is a perfect example of that commitment.
With over 10 years of coaching experience, Coach Tan has dedicated his career to developing players with a focus on singles play. His sessions are known for their structure, discipline, and attention to tactical play—perfect for players aiming to refine their individual game.
Coach Tan holds a Level 1 Coaching Certification from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), equipping him with the technical knowledge and professional standards needed to lead players at all levels.
A former Kedah state player (2004–2007), Coach Tan’s playing career extended internationally when he represented Boon Lay Secondary School in Singapore, achieving a Top 4 ranking among Singapore secondary schools from 2008 to 2011. He later joined the Royal Malaysian Police Badminton Team, serving from 2016 to 2024—a testament to his high-level skills and dedication to the sport.
Coach Tan brings a strategic and analytical approach to training, especially in singles development. His coaching helps players sharpen their shot choices, movement, and mental focus—drawing from his extensive experience at both the school and national team levels.
